It's about time to write a new post...
First I'm pretty excited about potential opportunities in Australia... once you start looking around it's possible to find so many options. If you're clever and present yourself with confidence that you can deliver, adapt and add value to a company for sure they'll call you. However, there must be a systematic approach to job hunting that I learnt the hard way when I couldn't find a position recently arrived in Australia. Follow up, follow up, follow up!
Second, I felt my mind working again... I think I've come to understand the rush your brain feels when it generates new ideas and becomes creative. After those moments is when I really think you have to sit down and write attempting to organize your thoughts. I'm reading a very exciting book: The Emperor of All Maladies (Siddhartha Mukherjee) about the history of cancer. One of the most important insights it casts on scientific development its the importance of mixing ground breaking science with public relationships. I need to sit down with Ali to explain this further and try to get it to achieve great things and explode her potential which is amazing.
I lack a bunch of social skills that might be difficult to build up at this stage (sentence particularly used by my dad and know I feel the psychological baggage I inherited from him) so might roll might be more undercover. If I find a passion (as I've done in the past) I have the skills to make it work so I better find a good cause to apply all what I know!
OK, enough for today so see u in the next one!
Let's Write About Nothing

Ok, new post after I don't know how many days... I haven't followed my objective for quite a while but it's time to post another entry being really time effective.
First, movies: I've watched a couple of really interesting movies lately. The first one I saw was V for Vendetta, an action flick that addresses the issue of dictatorship, utter government control and civil resistance. Second, Snatch, brilliant British movie directed by Guy Ritchie with amazing dialogues and dark humour. On the same line as Snatch (that was actually released before Snatch) it's Pulp Fiction from Quentin Tarantino. Fast and dynamic story with many enticing characters with diverting stories that come together some how.
Second, talk shows and documentaries. I'll try to take more advantage of Q&A from ABC... what an amazing show that comprises really thoughtful debates. I liked the one with John Howard (former prime minister of Australia) who is quite pragmatic but is a perfect example of capitalism. He gives his support to Tony Abbot who I don't regard as a savvy man and he's opinions lack humanity and environmental consciousness. Second, another Q&A show about spirituality that left me even more confused but at least with more concrete ideas and arguments to consider. Right now what I can't explain is the miracle of life and evolution. What is more important is the fact that there are so many belief systems that can support each other and that, even though, I have serious questions about religion there is something supernatural that I don't quite yet understand but might be out there... I just thought how small is a human compared to the vast infinity that surrounds us.
To be continued....
To be continued....
Cheers, Santi

Why let's write about nothing?
Ok, first of all let's clarify a couple of things. For quite a while now I have become more aware of the importance of producing information, even more than absorbing. At this stage, it is about time to start creating inputs about my everyday life, what I read, experience and think of many events and knowledge around the World.
Even more, writing has been proven to be a really important tool to improve storage of information, relate subjects and generate ideas. I don't expect this blog to turn public but, better than keeping a private log, I decided to make it available to anyone who wants to read it. So far the blog doesn't provide any usefulness to anybody but we can reach the day it does. However, more important, this is giving me the chance to express what I'm thinking and check the evolution of my objectives.
So the vision is: write a blog about interesting things I come across. This will help me departing from many meaningless issues around, practice my writing skills, keep my brain active, improve my memory and etcetera etcetera. I will do my best to post three days per week and let's decide on the go what direction I will take.
My first entry today will be quite short because I have already written the introduction. I am pleased to say I'm satisfied with what is happening here. See you the next time.
